You'll find me painting on stage  at Huggo's on the Rocks Sundays 11:30-3:00pm
  Come by and say Hi.

Welcome to the Kona Seaside Gallery,
home of Big Island artist John Collins.
Here in the gallery you'll find a wonderful array of original fine art.
John's art depicts the feel of a Hawaii past.
Marine (underwater) paintings reflect 30+  years of diving in Hawaii and the oceans of the  world.
We hope you enjoy the offerings displayed here. It would be a privilege to have you join the many collectors of John's exciting art.

Aloha to our returning friends. You'll find
new works being added every few weeks; so
please come back often.

Please sign our Guest Book. We really enjoy hearing from you.

In the Studio

This new section gives you a preview of  works that are in progress. I usually have between two to five paintings going at one time.
I'll also be including progressions of a painting. You'll be able to watch as  paintings grow from sketch to finished image.

Check out the latest addition to the site. Our Greeting Card section is now on line.
I've created this selection of whimsical Christmas cards with an Island theme for your enjoyment.
It's never too early to think about Christmas. It'll be here before you know it.

Huggo's Restaurant  The latest in the "Landmark" series. You can see progressions of this painting in the "In The Studio" section.
The original is 20"x24".  Prints available are:  3x5 Bookmat,
5x7 matted and frame, 8x10 double matted, 8x10 matted and framed.
No giclee, but the original is currently available.

Things Coming Up

I've just started an exciting new series of Paniolo paintings.  All new subject matter.
The settings will feature West Hawaii with Kona as the main location. There will be horses, cattle, Paniolos (Hawaiian cowboys), ships and more. My trade mark cloudscapes will be there.
The latest image is titled "Pa'u Riders". More to come...
So, stay tuned.  I hope you'll enjoy this series. Initial response has been terrific.
